Lacey Schwimmer is known for her innovation and diversity to dance especially during her time on So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing With The Stars. Growing up in a famous dance family (her brother won SYTYCD and father choreographed American Graffiti) her main focus was always Swing and Ballroom. However her mother (a classically trained ballerina and sought after coach) knew the importance of having fundamentals in all genres of dance to further her ability for her career. Being a competitor in not only jazz/contemporary, Lacey has been a full
time competitor in ballroom and swing her entire life. She was the youngest female to turn professional in west coast swing at the age of 14, and won her first United States title in Latin Ballroom at 15. Lacey booked her first co-choreographer job on Christina Aguilera’s music video “candy man” swing dancing before staring on SYTYCD and DWTS, she is now working on tv film and stage productions across the world.
